Police Department
Dedicated to the safety and protection of residents, business owners, and visitors, the Rush Township Police Department provides around-the-clock services. Officers patrol 71 miles of state, township, and private roadways.
Officers also participate in the DARE anti-drug program with the Tamaqua Area School District. There, they teach children the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.
Rush Township police officers – along with the township fire department and emergency medical professionals – are dispatched via the state-of-the-art Schuylkill County Communications Center.

Reports are available to the public and insurance companies. Cost of a reportable accident report is $15.00, and cost for a non-reportable accident is $15.00.
