Minutes of the Meeting of the Rush Township Board of Supervisors
A meeting was held at the Rush Township Municipal Building on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. In attendance were: Chairman Shawn Gilbert, Vice Chairman Robert Leibensperger, Supervisor Jeaninne Motroni, Treasurer/Secretary Debbie DelFranco, Solicitor Chris Riedlinger and Bill McMullen.
Chairman Shawn Gilbert called the meeting to order.
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Police Report – A motion was made by Chairman Gilbert to approve the police report for the month of August 2018. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Supervisor Motroni seconded the motion. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried. Chief Zipovsky also spoke of some safety concerns along with the Halloween 5K and Trunk or Treat.
Minutes of Previous Meeting- A motion was made to approve the previous meeting minutes of August 16, 2018. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Supervisor Motroni seconded the motion. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report – A motion was made by Chairman Gilbert to approve the treasurer’s report as of August 31, 2018. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Supervisor Motroni seconded the motion. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
Approval of current township and sewer bills thru September 19, 2018 – A motion was made by Chairman Gilbert to approve the municipal reports thru September 19, 2018. Vice chairman Leibensperger approved; Supervisor Motroni seconded the motion. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
Approval of municipal reports (sewer, road, Arro, Prodesign) – A motion was made by Chairman Gilbert to approve the municipal reports for August 2018. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Supervisor Motroni seconded the motion. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.

New Business –
- Motion to grant Franzosa Trucking Co., Inc. an extension for completion of the 2018 Road Improvement Project from September 20, 2018 to October 31, 2018 including a waiver of liquidated damages for the period. Vice Chairman Leibensperger approved; Supervisor Motroni seconded the motion. Debbie DelFranco polled the board. All members voted in favor of the motion, motion carried.
Public Comment – None.
Supervisors Comment – The Official Halloween Event will be a Halloween 5K and Trunk or Treat. The Halloween 5K starts at noon and following from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM is the Trunk or Treat. Contact the Municipal Building to sign up.
Chairman Shawn Gilbert adjourned the meeting at 7:15 p.m.
